Types of Air Conditioners:

Central Air Conditioners: These systems cool the entire house. Generally these systems work off of one centrally located thermostat and in some cases mutiple thermostats with a zone system.

Ductless Mini Splits: Perfect for single rooms, multiple rooms or Garages. They’re energy-efficient, allow for individual control for your comfort.

Straight Cools and Heat Pumps:

Both type of units come in both Straight Cool and Heat Pump.

Straight Cools: Are the conventional way homes are cooled they operate by moving heat from indoors to outdoor. These units use a Heating element to heat your home during the winter.

Heat Pumps: Operate the same as a Straight Cool except that durning the winter when you turn on your Heat the Condenser (Outside Unit) still continues to operate. The difference is it absorbs heat from the outdoor air and transfers it indoors. These units are a lot more efficent while in heat mode compared to a Straight Cool.
